Meguna

Meguna Ubud

Artisan Food

The meaning of “Meguna” in Balinese language is “useful”. Our intention is for Meguna to be a useful resource to the community, beyond the enjoyment of our one-of-a-kind artisanal food.

We try to accommodate creative ideas from our innovative chefs who have a passion for creating foods which are a fusion of traditional Indonesian dishes and other cuisines from around the world.

Our menu is aimed to be equally appealing to local and foreign community members, so that Meguna becomes a melting-pot of diversity and global unity.

We are proud that our menu has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, as we support the environmental and health benefits of these dietary choices.

Our rooftop sundeck dining and 3rd story Co-working and dining spaces offer views of the beauty of Ubud that you may have not seen yet. We offer a variety of seating options for those who choose to have more privacy, or gather with others.

Values:

Community

Meguna (meaning “useful”) was build to be a multi-functioned open facility for our community. We welcome you to come for social events, family celebrations, host product and art exhibitions, or hold your business meetings in our co-working/meeting space.

Environment and Sustainability

At the heart of our business, is the dedication to promoting sustainability and environmental friendly business practices. The following are a few examples of how we put sustainability into practice:

  1. All of our furniture is upcycled from old building materials.
  2. We use zero plastic in our dine-in service
  3. Our on-site green wall contains not only ornamental plants, but culinary herbs which we use in our ingredients
  4. Our walls are painted with various environmental messages to encourage people to go green!
  5. We take many of our ingredients directly from our on-site organic gardens.
